12:20:17 AM:
Shipped the robot today. It's over. Done. Fini. Well, until the competition in March, that is. It was a pretty hectic last few days there, but we made it.

For those not up-to-date on the status of the 'bot: the drive train had to be changed from treads to wheels. It now consists of four wheels, the front two mounted on sprockets and driven by two center sprockets attached to the motors. The redesign was concocted and implemented this past weekend and week. Also, it's been painted black, has teeth and two green LEDs for eyes.

At this time I'd like to thank everyone involved in this project. It truly was a team effort and I think we all learned a lot.

I would especially like to thank our wonderful mentors: Lynda Peterson for starting and managing the club; Mark Garber, Jim Farely, and Wilbur for all of their incredible help; Mrs. Snipes for the very generous use of her room; Ray Peterson for doing so so much. We all appreciate your invaluable help; we could not have done it without you.

Also, this never would have happened without student participation! To everyone who helped throughout the process: A big Thank You. And not that everyone else's input was not just as valuable and indispensable, but I would especially like to call notice to the few people who were working so hard throughout and particularly at the very end, who spent practically the entire past weekend at Katie's fixing the robot, and who skipped school these past few days to get it finished. Billy, Justin, James, Shuang, and David: You guys Rock! And Katie: You are God.
